about me »

I'm Staci, and I started working with dogs at the age of fifteen. Back then, it was just me sitting with shelter dogs to help keep them socialized until they found forever homes. Gradually, my help went from sitting to help bathe and care for the dogs that came in the shelter. My help only lasted a little over a year as the no-kill shelter began to close down. I decided that since the shelter was closing, and I was pretty decent at bathing I should check with grooming shops to see if they needed a bather.
My inquiry landed me in a corporate shop where I quickly learned to groom at the hands of a highly skilled mentor. Twenty-three years later, I am proud to say that grooming has been my passion and take pride in my work and achieving customer satisfaction. I have worked under various show handlers, breeders, and master groomers to learn techniques that would not only hone my craft but keep dogs as safe as possible. I have been a manager of a salon and helped train starting groomers and bathers. However, in all my years of grooming in a salon, I understood the demand for groomers that cater to one-on-one contact with dogs. And that there are dogs and/or owners that aren't partial to brick-and-mortar shops and prefer mobile convenience. Ironically, one-on-one was how I started in the no-kill shelter.
Wet Wags Mobile Spa formed in October of 2016 and gives me the opportunity to have the direct contact with the customer and their dog and truly offer that one-on-one connection that people love.
I look forward to meeting you and your furbaby!
